The main entrance to the colliery site is shared with the adjacent Country Park and there is a height restriction of about 1.8 m.
Vehicles above this height can use the road to the right hand side of the main entrance, provided they do not obstruct access to the two properties at the top.
The colliery museum car park is only available during the opening hours.
NB The main entrance is closed at sunset.
