- 2nd May: Work commences on the new roof for the North engine-house.
- Re-assembly of the North winder heavy engine components.

- Renovation work on North winder valves progressing.
- 14th May: Work commences on removing lagging from pipework.
- 1924 Robey winding engine and drum from Westhorpe delivered to Pleasley.
2003
2004
- 19th Dec: After 18 years, the North winder is the turning again.
2005
- First of the South winder brake units released and brake shoe removed.
- South winder main bearing caps removed along with top and side steps.
2006
- Work started on renovating the South pit-top shaft doors.
- Remaining South winder brake units released and brake shoes freed (19th Feb 2006).
- South winder drum released and rotated. Drum shaft bearing surfaces inspected.

- October: major renovation project on headstocks, engine-houses and heapsteads begins.

- September major renovation project on headstocks, engine-houses and heapsteads completed.
